May 2012 Update

Well the 2012 ball python hatch-ling season has finally arrived here as we have multiple clutches hatching this month. I love hatching early babies as it gets the excitement starting early. This year we get to add many new morphs and combos to our roster. I just love holding back future prospects.

Attached, find pictures of a 9 egg clutch from a White Diamond (also known as a Super Russo) to a Mojave;  talk about great odds. Yielding 3.2 BEL Leucisctics, and 2.2 Het White Diamonds. That is the true power of having a few super forms of morphs in your collection as it eliminates producing any normals in a clutch.

These Leucistics are awesome as they carry both the White Diamond and Mojave genes. The future ambitions of breeding one of these Leucistic males to Phantoms females get exciting. We have always wanted to try and produce Phantom Potions and Opal Diamonds. These two double combos can now be hatched within a single breeding utilizing a White Diamond / Mojave Leucistic male to a Phantom female. All we need is a nudge from the odds gods.

Secondly, we hatched a stunning three gene morph, a Lesser Platinum, Pastel, Yellowbelly. This snake is a mirror image of his father as we purchased the identical triple combo male from NERD, as we love his linage of these three genes.

We bred this triple male to a few normal girls to try and bust up the genes and hold back a few females. We may get some more surprises from other pairings as well.
