When Spyder Robotics first came out into the herp hobby with the Herpstat line of thermostats, we became really exited when we were reading the raving US web reviews of the newest addition, the Herpstat Pro. www.BallPythonAddiction.com was one of the first in Canada to import it to try them out before Canadian resellers were available. In a quick summary, the Herpstat Pro is basically four thermostats with plenty of features packed in a compact unit. Each unit comes with four removable probes that can control up to four racks, four cages, four incubators or any combination thereof. We especially love the fact that the night time drop feature is built into this unit. No purchasing extra components or messing around with timers.
The Herpstat Pros’s are a great value for the money as purchasing four separate quality thermostats would surpass the value of a single Herpstat Pro. We were also blown away with the immediate and great service from the company when an undetected household wiring problem was producing voltage spikes producing errors when we first set up the unit. The problem was troubleshooted with great expertise by the staff at Spyder Robotics and a new software update for the unit solved the problem. We highly recommend the Herpstat Pro as a big ten.
