The winter blues quickly sinks in fast this time of year. Deep freeze temperatures and barometric changes are encourage breeder ball pythons into full courting lock-ups. The rats are all snug and cozy in their insulated heated room while continuously breeding up a storm. We dial down the rodent production a bit during the breeding season as most of the adult balls will slow down or cease feeding by this time.
During the winter, I spend more time setting up photo shoots and glancing into our photo archives. I was going through some old shoots this week and stumbled upon a forgotten outdoor summer shoot. There is something about the vision of a sunning ball python that puts me into greater spirits, and helps me forget that ol’ man winter is still playing the blues for at least another month. I hope you enjoy the pics and we like to wish everyone good luck in the 2010 breeding season. It gets more exiting each year in this great hobby.
